I have a ’86 coupe, L98. Drove this past Sunday with no problems. That night I went to pull into the garage, engine would crank, fire but would die imminently. I noticed if I feathered the throttle it would continue to run but once I was off the throttle the engine would die. There is not smoke while starting or during and no different odor in exhaust. I jumped the ALC yesterday with no codes being reported. Got it started, allowed the engine to come to normal operating temperature and it would idle but at 100 to 150 RPM lower than normal. Since I’ve owned the car it normally idles @ 800 RPM. I don’t have a scan tool, yet. Any suggestions on the most likely culprit would be appreciated.

Try disconnecting the battery for a min or so. This should reset the computer. Clean the TB, go through the IAC adjustment, replace the fuel filter and check the fuel pressure.
