will the stock lt1 air intake fit in a 85?

Hello all

I was looking at my 85 and my 94, the air filter on the 94 is really big compared to the 94, will a stock air intake fit in the 85 with out much pain?

I doubt they are interchangeable, two different types of intake and the 85 uses a Mass Air Flow sensor about 14 inches forwatd of the throttle body, on the L98. The newer one uses a different size MAF and TB and position of the MAF.

You might find a different style aftermarket one for your 85 at one of the purveyors which advertise in any of the finer true American Sporting Car magazines.

I was thinking the air filter houseing and the hose up to the mass air,

Nope. The radiator angle changed so the later air box doesn't sit in there the same.
