Windshield polished? Fine scratches from wipers

Has anyone had their windshield polished? It seems the wipers have left tiny scratches over the last 25 years. I also have tiny pitting. That combination diffuses headlights to almost white out the windshield while driving at night. Sun glare also has the same effect. It becomes really annoying. I've tried cleaning and even a clay bar. Does anyone else have this issue? Any advice how to get my windshield clear again?

The Only way is to replace it! You can buff out all you want,But it'll still be there!

You should use a buffer wheel like this one:

Cerium Oxide Powder Capacity: 4 Oz(120g). Cerium Oxide is the best polishing powder to glass scratch. Clean the glass thoroughly. The ratio is 1: 1 (water: powder) in weight. e.g. 100 ml water add 100 grams powder.

I haven't used this buffer, but its the right idea.
If its real bad gmjukies solution will work for sure.
However once you try Zainos stuff you will be amazed.
