Hello all..So I finally got my ZR1 detailed today..after all the rain and 30 degree weather...

My detail guy calls me up and says that there are these dirty brown lines in my windshield that dont come out

He tried various cleaners and acids that can remove water stains from glass..and nothing..then he realized it was IN the glass not ON the glass

When I picked up the car he showed me that if you get real close it looks like brown fluid like runs in the glass.. It is throughout the entire windshield only. It has the stock ZR1 windshield with the solar glaze or whatever it is..but the brown stains in the windshield are weird.

when you look from the outside the stains look like they are on the inside but when you look from the inside it looks like they are on the outside..

I was wondering if anyone has ever noticed this in their windshields??? Is it maybe the glue that is used when the tint is applied to the glass???
Im not really that worried because you can only see them up close but they look like dirty water stains that ran down the window

Thanx..

PS..Im hoping to get some pics up this weeeknd Sunday is supposed to be nice :-)

It's the laminate in the glass. This is a known issue with ZR1's. Nothing you can do about it except replace the windshield. Chances are it will happen again down the road. Don't replace unless you must.

Ohh..

Thats kinda what i was thinking...the windshield is crystal clear otherwise....I guess I'll just leave it..
