Winter Help!

Yeah, that'd be awful, Mike. Don't throw me in that briar-patch, please. :ugh

Oh, wait, I'm already in that brair patch. :W

If you don't mind my asking, how much did the hard top for your '96 set you back? Seems like an awful big expense for "just another car." ;)

:w

I have a 95 CC2 car, so procurring the top was just replacing a missing piece. However, it was sorely needed due to the excessive windnoise this car suffers from at any speed over 140.
The top was 800 bucks total with shipping was 1136.67. The best mod so far was a D44 with 3.45, it improved the pathetic accelaration rate that the 2.59s provided. My brother and my brother in law both have Cobras and they continue to spank my C4 (boost helps performance at 6500ft).

Sorry to hear that you are stuck with 2 Vettes! ;LOL

Why? It's fiberglass and won't rust, and I drive it every day so a car cover would be a PITA!
If I was worried about it I would pull it into the garage! However, its just a C4 and I bought it to be my daily beater!
Mike
As far as driving the thing in the winter you have to remember that although the body is fiberglass but most of the car is still some kind of metal.

I looked a a DeLorean that someone got the bright idea that he could drive in Illinois winters because the body is stainless on fiberglass. In fact you don't even have to worry about the paint since there ain't any. Of course the suspension and its mount points are metal, and over the years they rotted out and all required replacement along with a laundry list of other metal parts.

But it is your car and and it doesn't sound like it bothers you that much so have fun.

The under carriage is pretty easy to hose off and they don't use salt here so no worries!

wildbill,
Thanks for the video clips. Those were wild! Any idea where the first one was from?

Tammy

I don't have a clue Tammy but my first guess is Italy.

I snagged them off of a motocross board and those guys have landed on their head too many times to be of much help.
