wiper motor wiring/1973

I need some help trouble shooting the three wires going into the motor assembly in order to determine if I have a problem with the switch or motor.

What exactly do you want to know?

If you could be a little more specific about your problem I'd be glad to take a look at the wiring on my '73 and tell you how it compares.

I ony get one speed......if I knew the purpose each wire, I could troubleshoot the motor or the switch......there appears to also be a solenoid inside the gear box of the wiper motor and also a resistor wire. Somehow, when the switch is turned off, the wipers return to "home". It has been suggested that I look at "The '73 Spot" for a diagram.
