Here's my deal...I'm trying to hook up my wipers...safety, you know..it's somewhat important. The aerodynamics do a pretty good job of blowing the water off the windshield but the wipers may help a bit too.

My car's headlights have been shaved and mounted in the grill eliminating the need for any vacuum stuff to raise them. I purchased the hose kit from Corvette Central and began hooking it up but ran into a couple issues.

1) I have no vacuum tank. The book says it's supposed to be under the master cylinder and power brake canister. Can I use any type of vacuum tank that will mount under there? To put the original in you have to remove the brake equipment...atleast that's what "the book" says. Plus I can't locate an original style tank to purchase.

2) Can I just plug any of the hoses that are supposed to operate the headlights? Since the wiper and headlight systems are integrated, I can't just leave the headlight hoses off.

Thanks,

1. Yes
2. Yes

Go to the bone yard. YOu will find a variety of plastic vacuum tanks on newer cars.

Just plug off the headlight portion and go with it.
