Hi & welcome Morton, On the 72s fuse box is up and to the left of the clutch pedel, way up above the lower edge of the "tach-Speedo" pod. Open door and slide in to foot well on your back it is near the under dash courtesy light. The wiper door opens and the wipers do not move? The wiper door does not open? The first is an electrical problem, switch or motor or fuse. The second is a vacume issue, I am not remembering the "how to" on that. tt72

thanks tomtom72 for the help with the fuse box
i do not have a wiper door and the wipers do not move.

Hi Morton, Grounds are very inportant in a plastic car, make sure the wiper switch is grounded. Check the fuse first though, then take out the switch and make a ground wire to reach something you know will give you a good ground and try the switch. If it works you have to find out why you lost the ground with the switch in place. Dash center section is metal and connects to floor console metal frame and I don't remember where the console frame grounds to, sorry it's been too long since I had my 72! I suggest a good reprint of the Factory Manuals, not a generic version. Hope this helps, tt72

My wipers didn't work and it was a simple matter of pushing the plug on the back of the motor in tight. Try this before you go playing with the fuse box. It under the dash on the driver's side and is a tight fit.

A limit switch, operated by the wiper door as it reaches open position is mounted on the engien side fo the cowl near the wiper motor. This switch is used to interrupt the motor armature ground circuit until the wiper door is fully open. When limit switch completed this circuit, the motor will operate.

I do not have this wiper door and maybe the switch to the door is the problem?
Where is this switch? what dos it look like? how do i get around that switch?
Thanks a lot for any help
