I,M GOIN IN,I want to change my plug wires on my 80,and was told it is quite a job.Do any of you guys have any insite or suggestions on how to make the job easier than i have heard;the route the wires take are under the manifold, and i can,t even see them.I,m told it will be a PITE job.HELP ME OUT. THANKS

Just do it slow, and one at a time...and you can't go wrong.

I just did my Mother in Laws 4th gen firebird yesterday....the engine is under the freakin dash, and you have to jack the car up, stand on your head, and hold wrenches with you butt cheeks to get the job done! Then, I tackled the motor home,....plugs, wires, cap, rotor, coil, ign module....

You can do it. Don't forget to get some tape and a marker and lable each wire so you don't get them mixed up. You should number them on the driver side of the engine from front to back 1-3-5-7 and on the passenger side from front to back 2-4-6-8

Good luck!

You do know that if you are replacing the stock wires with stock routed wires that you have to lift the engine don't you? The wires for the forward cylinders run through the motor mounts.

You don't have to lift the engine , at least i didn't . I used WD40 to lub them up and they squeezed right in.
