I'm replacing the entire A/C sytem in my 86 Vette. New compressor, condenser, accumulator hoses, R134a etc. The factory repair manual says "Add oil to the new condenser". How much do you add? I know I need to add oil to the new compressor and accumulator, but I didn't know you needed to add it to the condenser too. Does anybody here know how much to add?

A/C oil

The oil in an use A/C will be distributed throughout the system. When replacing only one element (condenser or evaporator or compressor), the amount of oil typically found in that element should be added. When replacing everything, the total amount of system oil should be added. Once the system runs, the oil will distribute but you want to start with the compressor amount in the compressor.
Good luck.
