First, the intake was engineered to be used with the revised camshaft available in the 01 model year, and newer.
LS1 and LS6 are both the same intake, for the 01 and newer model year, even the 405 horse version.
Claims, are really not applicable here, as there are more facts than meets the eyes..
The longer runner length, increases intake air velocity, during low rpms, and your midrange. This, in conjunction with the camshaft, yields better torque and power.
When performing this mod, I usually recommend a 80mm throttle body when doing this. You are really making better throttle response with this mod. That is what you are doing, if you are looking for numbers, you may be disappointed.
Having done many, power gains are negligable, up to 20 rwhp.
Personally, testing tolerances on the dyno can attribute this gain.
