Over the last couple years, it seems like I stumble upon information on the net implying that there is a difference between these windshields.

Is there? What is it?

ZR1 windshields have some kind of lamination on the windshield. I am sure Rob or somebody else with a ZR1 can explain better.

The LT-5 necessitated a smaller AC/compressor unit. The laminated windshield was used to offset the smaller units capacity in keeping the Z’s cabin cool.

Thanks wegone. Its a good writeup. Learned a lot, and the most striking thing was that the ZR-1 was a 27-31K option itself. Yahoo!
