whats the best mufflers for this exhaust system?

i have this set-up: Melrose Motorsports :: Home of Smoothflow and Monsterflow Corvette Headers and Exhaust Systems

and as you can see it says they measure back to the orignal mufflers. butt i was thinking i should change the muffers to eliminators or should i get better mufflers? which is better for the car? i know the mufflers taking out will shave som weight off but is it bad for the car? also what are some good eliminators or mufflers to get?

With eliminators you would basically have straight pipes. Do you have the cats on? If so and loud is a goal then this might be ok.

If loud is not a goal or you don't have cats, well...Flowmasters are loud, Magnaflows are quiet.

Personally, I would run Flowmasters because I like loud.
If I had cats, try straight piping it (eliminators).

another great option is to go with21/2 in superturbo mufflers with dual exits . before you scoff at the 21/2 in i have them on my zr1 corvette that makes 410 rwhp and the 21/2 the car ran 1.5 tenths and 1.3 mph faster than with 3 in super turbos . the other plus is that they are very quiet when cruizing and just the right amount of loud when your on it .. have vids on utube under bradszr1 just click on my favs and listen for your self . the on vid thats titled jettavs corvetteat acd is with the 21/2 in setup

yes it has cats. im getting the long tube headers with cats and x pipes and i guess im goin with the eliminators!

Flowmaster results

Did you notice any improvement in performance and gas mileage and if so how much as I am thinking about going with the flowmaster 40 setup.

I saw no difference in either mileage or performance. Car feels faster, but probably just due to extra noise.
