Working on 1989 c4 vette , ther are 2 wires at the vehicle speed sensor on tail shaft housing of 700r4 auto-trans (yellow -400 v.s.s. high and pupple -401 v.s.s. low ) which wire would I use to connect a Abbott Electronic Ratio Adapters (white wire signal in from the speed sensor ) and (blue wire out of Abbott to E.C.M. ) . Ok here is my own answer, the yellow wire no. 400 from the v.s.s. is the high pulse to the E.C.M. use this wire to connect the ( Aboott Ratio Adapter ) it will give you hundreds of ratios for if you change gears in your Dana 36 or 44 or do a wheel size change . Your speedometer will be corrected . Can buy at Ecklers .

Yellow is signal, purple is ground. Why do you want a ratio adapter anyway? Just buy the trans gears and change them. No screwing with wiring. Done. How often do you change gear ratios that this will be an issue?

The older C4s, 89 back, wire the sensor directly to the days. I used the Dakota Digital box, works great. But I removed the ECU on the 90, which feeds from the TSS to the BCM before going to the ECU and dash. Different setup.

Here's the Dakota Digital link.

Universal Speedometer Signal Interface

Very easy to hook up.
