2005corvette automatic

More information would be helpful. Miles, maintenance done, fluid checked, etc.

help

:welcomeI am sure since Rob moved this to the right section someone will be able to help you. I have a stick but I would think this can't be mcuh more than an adjustment of some kind or the lock for park is not disengaging for some reason ;shrug

First off a Welcome is in order! Since Rob has moved the thread, it should get the attention it needs to get some answers for you. Hopefully C4C5specialist, LLC5 or GM Junkie will check in here, they are just a few of our resident experts and should be able to help you out.

HI there,

I would most likely think its your shifter assembly that will need replacing.

The BTSI or brake transmission shift interlock may not be working all the time or the solenoid might be sticky.

Either way, you should check into replacing the shifter.

Allthebest, Paul

Are you parking on an incline all the time? If so try to park it in the opposite direction or on a flat an see if it shifts cleaner. Let your car relax if you have your tires against a curb with you foot on the brake when you put it in park, release the brake first so the tires are not under a curb load when you engage park.

Good luck - :thumb
