You can close the rear hatch without crimping the harness.
In fact, once the hatch is closed you’ll still be able to pull the charger harness without difficulty. Try it, there’s no reason to open a window or leave the hatch ajar.

I have a 2014 that had the same issues as you described. The dealer had the screen replaced under warranty.
I'm not sure why you think the repair has to be done outside of Chevy unless you purchased from a dealer other than GM.
Has anyone experienced any cooler water and/or engine temps when you replaced your stock LT1 grill with a Z06 grill?
My Z51 water temps and oil temps are consistently in the 220-230 range.
Based on my previous C4-5-6 ownership the water temp consistently ran 196-198 and my oil temp ran...
My friend (Dan), bought a new 2016 Z06 from Rick Conte. Since he lives in NY he had his Z shipped to his home. On his first oil change the dealer said since he didn't buy it from him to call back in September and he'll see if he could fit him in.
At the time he also showed them a defect on the...
I can understand the amount of frustration since the battery tender instructions omit how to close the hatch.
If you run the wires out side the hatch (passenger side) close towards the taillight but still on the side (center of side hatch from door to tail) simply close the hatch.
The wires...
The guy that owns the Z06 is Mike, "Street Speed 717. Nick is his new found friend that owns a Camaro - they both share vlogs.
I watched this guy on You Tube when he made his 1st vlog. He was a very gracious and likeable person. However, as his channel views started getting watched and growing...
If you have jacking pucks - you only need to use the rear one on the drivers side. Slide under the rear (tail lights) and reach up on the left side of the transaxle and feel for the weather plug connection. It's somewhat encased in a heat shield wrapping. Connect the Cags switch and you'll never...
Yes, according to Larry Edsalls book, "The Seventh Generation of America's Sports Car, Corvette Stingray," he states that (pg.70), "the new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette uses a lightweight heat-activated shape memory alloy wire in place of a heavier motorized part to open a vent that allows the trunk...
I've been blessed to say Corvettes (C4, C5, C6, and C7) have been my daily driver since 1993. My C4 was in the shop twice, once for a water pump, and the other for the "achilles heel" - opti-spark!
My C5, and C6, just routine service maintenance. Although my C6 had a dash rattle that was fixed...
There have been a lot of hits to this question without responses which leads me to believe that the actual amount of blown LT1 engines are so minute and non-existent that cause for concern is not worth the effort.
...which is a good thing - now my green gem will get its spanking tomorrow, and...
Totally understand.
Have you thought about having a dedicated heading under each forum exclusively for vendors. It would be easier to read posts that are not cluttered with vendors posting one item per line.
Just a thought....:)
