    Courtesy lights

Thank you again for the explanation. You are very informative and really know your mechanics of the car. A corvette mechanic did not even know the correct answer when I asked him. He said it was a separate module controling it. He did not know that when the car was outside the courtesy lamps...

    Courtesy lights

Many thanks .This car is usually in the garage so I never really noticed it once it was outside. I thought there was a problem. I noticed you have an 89 but I guess they did not change the operation of the courtesy lights

    Courtesy lights

Thank you for your reply - I was also concerned that only the drivers door had the delay not the passenger door.

    Courtesy lights

On my 95 vert if car is outdoors will the courtesy lights go on? The drivers door has the time delay (approximately 30 seconds) but not the passenger door it just goes on and off immediately after door is closed. In the garage the courtesy lights work. Is this how it was designed? Is this...

    Question: Aluminum radiators

I recently put in a dewitts radiator. The temps are the same (95 LT1)as my stock radiator. My system is all stock with the 180 stat. The dewitts is a great radiator. If you want the car to run cooler then you should chane the fan settings and use a 160 dg. stat. You can turn on the a/c during...

    Trans temp gauge

I know all of the 96 vettes with auto trans have a gauge. How come some of the 95 models do not? If someone has the "corvette black book" the answer may be in there

    Still hot with trans cooler

The shop said that is the way they installed with the flow after the rad. cooler but I will reconfirm with them. If it was reversed would it make a difference with the temp? thanks for your input

    Still hot with trans cooler

I installed the B&M super cooler. It was installed in front of the a/c condensor at an angle (it does not touch the condensor) It has great air flow. My vette is a stock 95 LT1 with a dewitts radiator. The cooler was installed going thru the rad cooler first then thru the B&M cooler. The cooler...

    trans cooler-(95 LT1)

nice red vette you have By the way I suck out thru the dipstick tube around 2 quarts of trans fluid and then I refill with new castol trans fluid 2 times a year because of the heat. I still would like to put an external cooler in series with the radiator cooler but I am not sure about the...

    trans cooler-(95 LT1)

Dogfish Thanks for the info. The cooler you described sounds like the power steering cooler. What are your temps in traffic ?mine goes up to 223-too hot for me. I have a stock setup except I have a dewitt radiator. My water temps average 200 dg. when cruising. (180 stock stat) 188dg is a good...

    trans cooler-(95 LT1)

Did anyone put an external cooler for trans. and notice the trans gauge temp. drop after install ? How many degrees cooler? Where is the best location-front of radiator or will that block air flow and car will run hotter Thanks

    Stock Thermostat

Thanks Hib, but I went to the chevy dealer and picked up a delco stat (180) .The dealer said this is the correct stat according to his info on the computer. (he did mention that 92-96 all take the 180 stat) I appreciate your calibration tips

    Stock Thermostat

Thank you all for your input. The fsm and the dealer said the stock stat for a 1995 LT1 is the 180-LT only the L98 uses the 195 stat- Thanks again rabbit
