Hey thanks Hib, that's the info I was after. One thing though, does the LT1 air filter base fit the holley with the dual feed or single feed? I don't recall what the LT1 had.
Thanks!
Well, that was my original thought. The body of the carb is nearly stripped where the fuel nut threads in. Don't know if that's salvageable. I used to work on these things "back in the day" so I've seen a few.
I wonder if Lars in on line?
Hi all,
My 1968 roadster is numbers matching with about 66,000 miles. I plan to get the faded paint redone this winter. It has a 327/350hp engine. The Q-jet is my problem. It's not number matching (from an early 1970's 'vette per the numbers). Besides it not being original, the fuel line...
Shift kit vs. manual valve body
Hi Lance B,
Back in my high school days I had a camaro with a TH400 out of a C3. It had a fully manual valve body and 3000 stall speed converter. Fun to drive (but not as much as a 4 speed). You could put it in any gear and it stayed there. You could also...
Hi All,
I'm trying to put my '68 back to original...well mostly. I had about half of the ignition shields from the previous owner (327/350hp). I purchased the rest from Corvette Central. All fit nicely with the acception of the left front shield. My temperature sensor is in this location so...

When I purchased my 1968 convertible this summer, the previous owner had the power steering pump and hoses disconnected which made it steer like a truck. After hooking up the new...

I think the bolts you are after are Item# 533050
Hi guys,
I see in the owners manual that leaving the wiper override switch on will drain the battery. Which direction will turn the switch off? Turning it clockwise or counter clockwise.
Thanks
Hi all,
I always thought my 1968 'vette rode too high. Checking in the Corvette Assembly manual it specifies the ride height, both front and back as a "J" and "K" measurement which is determined by the engine, transmission, and accessories. The front measurement is about 8.25in. The question...
I recently acquired a Silverstone Silver 1968 roadster. It has both tops, a 327/350HP with a 4 speed. It also has power windows and PS. Beyond that, it does not have many options although I do have the tank sticker which is nice. Mostly it's original for example, it still has a Q-jet (not...
