Shift lock cable from transmission to steering column to long

1/2" too long doesn't seem very much. Just make the loop a little wider?

Paint body on or off frame

Why risk scratching the new paint during the body drop? Paint it after. :beer

    sidepipe muffler hanger

Hi, I bought a sidepipe rear muffler to frame attaching kit. There are the obvious bolts and rubber discs, but in the kit there are also some small screws. What are those for?? ;shrug

Steering coupler insallation - coulmn too short?

No I'm not sure about the body location. Actually I have two problems, the steering coupler, and the fact that the front left tire is rubbing the fender in the front when turning left (but a correct wheel alignment + the letting the suspension set itself will hopefulle cure that to some extent)...

Steering coupler insallation - coulmn too short?

Thanks for the input. I have tried to pull the shaft but it seems very firm. I do not want to pull too hard and damage it. I will try to install the column again and pull the gap together with bolts. Another soultion might be to extend the shaft somehow, either by installing some extra flange or...

Any one have KYB Gas Adjust shocks?

Mine are white. I think the cheaper GR-2:s are grey. Or used to be, maybe they changed? ;shrug

Steering coupler insallation - coulmn too short?

I'm installing the rag joint, but the gap between the coumn shaft and the steering box shaft is a bit too big. Is there anything I can do to adjust this? The column shaft end to bearing face is 4,5 inches (correct for a 69), so I don't think the coulmn is collapsed. But is there any way to...

    Nose height adjustment?

Hello, I have just installed my body (69 conv) after swapping to a replacement frame and the body sits good on all 8 mounts, with a few shims on some. In the front, however, I have a good 2 in between the radiator support and the crossmember, and that is when the nose is hanging freely in the...

    Fuel line question

Hi all, I'm routing new fuel lines on my 69 frame. I've seen on several installation pictures that the feed line has an extra bend between mount #2 and #3 from the tank. Why is that? Doesn't look like that in my assembly manual. See picture below (from a 71 restoration)...

    bellhosing cover

Ok thanks. I just recently bolted the tranny to the engine and put it on the frame, and then it struck me that the cover maybe should have been mounted before that, but then I'm ok. :beer

    bellhosing cover

I have realized that I have no clutch bellhousing front cover. Does this mount from the "outside" or do I need to unbolt the bellhousing to mount it? /Johan

    Shifter linkage - manual gearbox

Ok thanks. Short throw it is. Anything else that can be done to the shifter to remove some of the play and give the stick a more "tight" feeling? I've had the shifter apart but it's not mutch to replace in there. Looking in a Paragon catalog, the only internal shifter replacement part they sell...

    Shifter linkage - manual gearbox

I'm installing the shifter linkage. Has the inner holes on the gearbox shift levers any purpose, i.e is it possible to install the linkage to the inner holes and get a shorter throw when shifting?

    Transmission and driveshaft lineup

Hi Mike, Maybe it's not tough with Canadian standards, but my garden tractor with a plowblade has been put to the test! Ok, in the picture below I have unbolted the tranny mount and moved the rear of the trans to the left. Now the transmission output shaft and driveshaft are parallell. One of...

    Transmission and driveshaft lineup

Hi, I know it's offset but I also have a small angle between the driveshaft and the transmission (if you extend the drifeshaft forward and compare it with the casting line on top of the transmission).
