Wheels and Hoosier R Compound Tires

I have four Hoosier R-Compound tires mounted on C4 blade style wheels for sale. The tires have about 10 laps at Infineon on them before my transmission blew. The wheels were refinished a few years ago but one does have a small blemish on it. The wheels are 17 X 9.5 with Hoosier 275 40 ZR17s...

    Dying LT1

I guess I still have some time here as the dealership does not have the part yet. Because the issue is intermitent, I am inclined to believe that there must be something physically wrong with the ECM (or PCM?). Thus I do not believe that a reprogram would help. I doubt I could do any...

    Dying LT1

John, The TPS voltage checked out as normal. TLong, Good suggestion but I decided to go with a stock ECM. I am hoping that it will be done today or tomorrow. I will let you all know the result.

    Dying LT1

John, We tried your test and no luck. I think I have no choice but to replace the ECM at this point.

    Dying LT1

My 1996 LT1 (automatic, 67K) has been hesitating upon startup but eventually recovers. Following a long period of driving (>1 hour), it sometimes stalls but usually starts right back up. Yesterday, however, it started then stalled 5 seconds later not to start again. I had to be towed home. I...

    After seeing the real thing

I just saw a C6 on the rode the Monday before Memorial Day in Kalamazoo, MI. I have to admit that I was not impressed with the magazine photos and it did look much better in person. I did not like the C5 either but it did grow on me. The C6 was unmistakable as a Corvette--even at a distance...

    Water spots

Tim, Personally, I would wait to replace the weather stripping when you have it painted. As for the water spots. Can you feel them? And if so, how? That is, can you feel them when you run your hand over them or can you "catch" them with your fingernail. If the former, the claying should...

    Problems with electronic climate control

I have had similar problems, but when I push some of the buttons, they do not respond nor does the indicator light above the selected button illuminate. I took it apart to look at it and it is all solid state and I have no idea how to fix it. Hopefully someone else out there does. Kurt

    Front Bearings

Eagle and Ken, I did order two while I was at it--just in case. I have the same inclination as you two but the shop I use here in Santa Rosa thought is was not necessary. I might as well have them both done. Thanks for the advice. See you at the 50th!
