Are there decent all-season tires out there in Z06 sizes? I bought my non-Z06 car with Z06 wheels but standard sized tires. Looks dopey and might be a safety issue. But, it's a year-round DD so I need ASRs. Any thoughts?
I can relate. I wobbled between dislike and "so what" re Vettes until 4 years ago when I test drove an LT1 C4. I was shocked that I liked it so much and I bought it a week later! I enjoyed that car immensely every minute I owned it.
I could never see trashing the C4 -- but I must admit I like...
Thanks for starting this Remo :beer and a very Merry Christmas to all -- I'm new to the C5 community owing to the attached Christmas (and next Valentines, anniversary and birthday) present.
I'm definitely feeling jolly...

A lot going on in here. My observation over the past two years is you can:
Appreciate the Corvette heritage
Drive your C4 right into the ground (there were over 300K of them made -- plenty of collector/waxer types to preserve a few thousand for my great-grandkids)
Drive it fast
Know...
One more thought -- if your buddy is looking for looks and quality, SLP is the way to go. If he is interested in performance and quality and a more stock look is OK, tell him to save his money and just cut the air filter lid (or buy a cut one so he can save the original) and stick in a K&N...
Congrats on your beautiful '94.
There's something about a black LT1, isn't there? This is my first one too -- haven't stopped grinning since I bought it a year ago.
You will find keeping it clean a bit of a chore -- but it's a labor of love!
Don't forget to wave! :w
Since you want opinions -- I like that stripe kit a lot. It's enough different than the GS (plus no fender stripes) that the whole wannabe thing is not an issue IMHO.
Looking at your picture and your wheels, I keep thinking the silver will look MUCH better than black. I'm a pretty stock, no...
Not necessarily -- if it's an automatic, the correction factor would be 18%. So divide 305 by .82 and you get 372 at the crank. Aren't the LS1's rated @ 345 crank HP? If so, 27 HP from the exhaust and CAI would be pretty good, I'd think. Even using 15% (6-spd. correction, I'm told) you would...
From the research I did, the cut lid is a bit more beneficial than just putting in a K&N on C4's -- but it's a matter of the total mod package.
I noticed no SOTP improvement when I put mine on, but I was changing the filter anyway and adding a chip and exhaust later. So, to me it was a small...
