Grand Sport Grand Sport Gen 2 tire chatter

Danged glad I read this thread. I was a day or two away from taking my car to the dealership to find out what is going on. It felt much like trying to turn hard in a 4X4 with the wheels locked in. Thanks to all for clearing this mysterious issue up.

Grand Sport New (to me) Grand Sport

I have had my 2010 Grand Sport for a little over a month now and can't even think of words to describe my pleasure with this car. It now has 14,700 miles on it and it really is awesomely fast. I ran it at the drag strip a couple weeks after buying it to get some bone stock base line runs...

Help! Need advice over manual or automatic trans

Manual I had a 2002 that I drove hard in Europe...Nurburgring 4 laps and it was awesome! But, my 06 is an automatic and the only competitive thing to do here is drag racing and the auto is much more consistent and just as fast as the stick (with mods). Corvettes are fun no matter what your...

First time Corvette owner at 65 y/o

Older than you! Age has nothing to do with whether you own a musclecar or not....I dont' think you're ever too old...it's what's in your heart. Mine happens to be full of bow ties. I'm older than you but my C6 is my fifth Vette...76, 82, 84, 02 and now this wonderful 06. Congrats on your car.

    Show off your C6's!!

She's Mine! We traded our second Gen5 Camaro SS for this beauty. She has only 23000 miles on the odo and everthing about her says "new"! This is my 5th Vette, a dark grey 76 C3, a white 82, a maroon and silver 84, a silver 2002 and now this white 2006. There just ain't nothin' as good as a...

    Huge day for corvette racing

New Vette I picked the car up from the dealer yesterday and it is more than I had hoped for. On the 150 mile trip back home, it averaged 28.5 mpg which is amazing. It's white. I have pics to post in a bit.

Traded: 2012 Camaro for 2006 Corvette

I think I got a great deal on a trade for a 2006 Corvette base model Vette. It's white, automatic, 3LT, heated seats, 6 disk Bose and a bunch of other stuff. I got as much in trade for my 2012 Camaro as I paid for it in April. I posted this news on the Camaro5 forum and one guy replied< "You...

    Huge day for corvette racing

Merger What do you all think about the merger between ALMs and Rolex? I think it could be ok, but sure hope they retain all of the classes, somehow. Ohhhhhh, by the way...I forgot to mention I just bought a 2006 Base Corvette with only 23k on the odo. It's absolutely perfect. 3LT, heated...

    Camaro or C6?

In April I traded my 2010 Camaro SS L99 for a 2012 SS LS3...auto vs manual. I just wasn't happy with the new car since, with the same bolt ons as the L99, it just wasn't as fast in the 1/4 mile. While looking for the new Camaro, I talked to my favorite Chevy dealership, Serra in Memphis and told...

    1984 Overheating

Overheatin' Well, it's good to see someone else agrees. In the same Service manual, the description of the radiator cap says something like: If the cap holds pressure at a certain pressure, the coolant will not boil until over 260 degrees. I'm not worrying about mine anymore!! Thanks for your...

    1984 Overheating

I know this is a very old subject and I've searched for remedies to the reports of overheating on the single fan C4s and found most would agree, these C4s need an all aluminum 2 row radiator to fix the problem. However, I was perusing the GM 1984 Corvette Shop Manual, Electrical Troubleshooting...

    9.5 inch Rear Wheels - Z51?

I now own a 1984 C4 and have been working hard to bring it up to my standards. The RPO code sticker isn't anywhere others say it might be, so I'm waiting to go to the Corvette Museum to get the build sheet and window sticker for it. However, in the center console, I found a short caution note...
