Can we talk about Vacuum advance?

My 75 coupe has a 1990 verson of a GM SB Crate motor, with electronic ignition. Holly 600CFM carb. I'm not a mech. so bear with me. I know that it's hooked up to my carborator via a vacuum tube to my distributor. What is vacuum advance? What does it do? Do I need to have hooked up or...

    Gonna Clean the engine

Vette79, I had those same apprehensions. I've only done my engine bay once, and it turned out great. I had no problems. I used plastic trash bags to cover the distriutor, alternator and carb. I had a couple of electronic relays I was unsure of so a I wrapped them in plastic as well. I...

Curtis, I've looked for some time for looms just like yours. Do they bolt into the pre-drilled holes in the heads? Please tell me who makes them and where you got them. Thanks

    NCRS Regional, Lowes Motor Speedway

The NCRS web site calendar shows a regional event at Lowes Motor Speedway, April 26th-28th. However there are no other details about the event. I've been to the Fla. Regional in Orlando. Has anyone been to the one at Lowes? Is there usually a good turnout? I'm going to be in the area, on...

    HOOD RELEASE CABLE SNAPPED

A friend of mine with a 72 just went through this. The photos in the above post are very good, however with the angle of the windshield its tuff to get a large screwdriver in that location and be able to hit the latch release. Consider going to Home Depot or the like and getting a 5/16" steel...

"Nothin like a new pair of shoes!"

Thanks for the ideas. I need to clean up the wheel wells anyway. I also have the Indy spoiler. The point at the front takes a beating. I',ve given some thought to molding a piece of thin sheet metal just over the tip in the front.

    Not exactly a performance upgrade

I like it! The installation looks good, very professional. I would be interested in seeing photos of the install and write up on how you did it and where you got the parts.

2005 turkey run, some pics, and some relief

Jon, I was there Sat. and saw your car. Not many C3's and the hood on yours made it unique. I wanted to ask you if your tires rubbed when you turn lock to lock. I looked at so many...don't you have 255/60/15's? I ordered a set for my 75 coupe, hope they work.
