Peter...,
sure hope you find your problem. Remember you are the specialist in ECM carb and stuff.
Unfortunately, I can't be much help (since I'm still learning from you) but don't worry I have my own problems right now with my solenoids not kicking in. Aren't these cars fun.
Best of luck....and...
Hot topic I guess. I`m also doing mine right now but with different results. After finding a broken wire on the driver`s side switch, I thought I had it resolved. Now both doors will unlock easily but won`t lock, Checked connectors, continuity, voltage...you name it... still the same. I guess...
When I say 90 litres, I'm going by the book. Never really tested it. (my low fuel light doesn't work). I like your plan but be careful when running out of fuel. Last summer, I was running low and stopped for fuel. Filled her up and left only to stall 1 km. later. Go figure. Opened the hood, took...
Vettehead Mickey is right on the money... 23.7 US gals. or 90 litres.
B.T.W. Peter, I dropped my gas tank a few years ago for inspection and clean-up and if I remember correctly, '81's came with an urethane liner(creme color) inside the tank (not a bladder). I'm assuming mine was original since...

Thanks to...
Same as mine on both sides. God only knows what that is but brittle as hell and tends to crack on the edges (had to tape mine). Reflectix sounds like a good substitute. :w
Hello everyone...
Decided to tackle a long time trouble code 21 (throttle sensor circuit) on my stock 81. To make a long story short, the electrical part as been taken care of, so went ahead and removed the air horn on the carb to clean the sticking plunger. Done...
Now, while re-assembling the...
Real bummer. And how is someone supposed to predict that.
I guess these wires sit in a lot of heat most of the time but there's no way to know when and where they will fail.
Ask me how I know. 'Vette came back home last summer in the back of a flatbed due to a broken fusible link. Not a whole...
Thanks Peter..,
And that's exactly where I was, working on the air ducts last Fall. I remember having one heck of a time replacing all the wires on the driver's side.
Thanks again.
Regards..,
Roger
