I'm in negotiations to buy a 2004 and don't like the strip on the door ... what happens when you remove it? I need to know about the wheels also, I think they were an extra. Any info would be appreciated.

1990 Corvette, The fuse that controls the radio and windshield wipers keeps burning out. Sometimes it's within I mile of driving and the next time I replace the 25amp fuse it lasts for 3 or 4 days. Any ideas where the short could be?
