I installed 2002 corvette seats in my 78. I used the factory 78 seat brackets, stripped the seats down to the aluminum frame, then attached the stock brackets to the aluminum frame. I had mounted the seat rails to the floor, placed the seat on top of the rails, did some calculations on the angle...

I recently finished up my stereo upgrade on my 78', and thought I'd share the final product. First, thanks to everyone before me that posted notes and photos of their stereo/speaker/amp install. They were very helpful and instrumental in designing what I consider a very well rounded audio system...

My AIM manual has only odd pages from 17 on (go figure!). The specs for Standard Trans is on either page 18 or 20. Anyone have copy? Or if someone has the correct speedo gear for the 3.70, can you post?

I took the plunge and swapped out my 3.36 gears for a set of 3.70. Since most of my driving is cruising, the few hundred extra rpm's on the freeway don't' bother me much. Except that my speedometer is now off. Showing 70 it is actrually 60 (using GPS). I have a saginaw tranny, so which...

That's what I have now. Since the majority of my driving is cruising, I'll take the trade off of a bit higher rpm on the freeway with the 3.70.

Gary, What kind of issues did the 78-79 years have? Wasn't aware of any. Why those years? 1) I have a 78 and if i'm correct, it would be a direct bolt in as the yoke sizes are the same. 2) without having to rebuild one, my thought was a lower miles 3.70 differential would be a better option than...
