    Strong Fuel Smell After Driving

Hard starting when warm indicates bad fuel injectors, you'll have to replace them all. If theyve failed then you'd be rich on startup and it wouldnt all burn, so you might get a good vapor odor. The check is to hook up a pressure gauge at the rail, shut the car off, and watch what happens. It...

Oil pressure (buying my first vette).

18-20psi at idle, if the engine is hot, is fine.

    84 Corvette Engine Changes

All it looks like is a carb conversion, which isnt a particularly bad idea, lots of 84 owners do it. I cant see any headers, but he's repainted his valve covers. Payoff would be in power gains, fewer crossfire reliability issues; drawback might be idle quality, fuel mileage...typical carb stuff

    Headers, what about Headman?

I would stay away from Hedman headers, I dont like the fit & finish. Primary tube size is always a subject of opinion for a 350, some people would say you dont need the larger 1.75" from the rest until youre pushing 450hp. Dont even worry about that stuff, just pick a header on quality. I have...

    TPIS bigmouth vs. Accel Superram

Provided you buy the LT1 intake from the website, and get a good tune, yes you should be getting fairly close to 300hp. The '113 heads on the 90 are close to the LT1 in flow, but not quite, so you'll come in just short. I would expect about 40hp increase with the tune. The LT engines have a...

    TPIS bigmouth vs. Accel Superram

Putting a miniram or LT1 intake on an L98 basically makes it into an LT1 engine. Heads are almost same between '113 and LT1, cam is nearly identical. So you should expect about 300 crank hp.

    TPIS bigmouth vs. Accel Superram

The Edelbrock and TPIS TPI intake base are both made by Edelbrock. TPIS does go one step further and port matches all the entries and exits on the manifold and the others do not. Accel makes their own TPI intake base. TPiS runners=AS&M runners, AS&M makes them both.

    TPIS bigmouth vs. Accel Superram

In terms of flow numbers they are basically the same, although several have complained about the fitment of the accel manifold. Its quality is occasionally poor.

    ratio rockers

They usually add about 15hp or so to L98s, so do it.

Exhaust pipe size, 2,5" or 3"?

If its true duals, 2.5" will be plenty.

    "best aftermarket heads?"

Its pointless to search for the best head without specific criteria and goals. That said, the '113s you have now are good heads already. They should support 350hp out of the box, i.e., unported. If your goals are well above this, only then should you really think hard about better heads.

    TPI Tuning (bolt on)

If its in the magazines, and says it'll give HP, its a lie. Except for exhaust systems. You want to hop up your engine, read my website http://temp.corvetteforum.net/c4/vader86/
