Radiator Help - Am I screwed?

700R4pressure You got me worried :confused so I checked the service manual which said that the transmission develops pressures up to 200PSI!! However, I called a local trans shop who wasn't at all concerned with my hose repair. He said that the cooler loop pressure is only 17 psi. If he had...

    OEM Wheel Question

Cuisinarts My 89 was the first year for the 17 inch Cuisinarts. I beleive previous models with Z51 and 17 inch wheels had a similar wheel with six openings instead of 12. I think if you look in the info part of this forum, once they get the home page back up you can see pictures of all the...

    More Problems....

Craig. Wish I could help but I'm just not knowledgable in this area. Might I suggest you take a few days off from the problem and clear your mind a little. When you do get it figured out, and you will!, take a road trip out here to Colorado and I'll give you a hug and buy you a beer.

Radiator Help - Am I screwed?

Thanks for the info. The problem is solved. I had in fact broken loose the fitting. The problem was the tube is welded to the inside of the fitting. I had no choice but to sacrifice the tube to get the fitting out. I have since tried driving the tube out with a punch and drilling it out...

Radiator Help - Am I screwed?

I cleaned out the space between the radiator and A/C condeser this weekend. Leaves, pine needles, cigaratte butts, paper etc. Relatively easy job. Only problem was that the bottom auto trans connection was frozen. I was extremely careful with it because I intended to drive the car to Phoenix...

What will bigger runners do for me?

Edmond. I bought and have read Lingenfelter's book on modifying the small block Chevy. It was refernced here on the forum. I thought you said you had a copy. There is an excellent discussion on the TBI in the book. Basically, short, fat runners make good top end HP and limit low end torque...

    radiator/heater hoss

    Denver...The Vette has landed!

Congrats Stearnman. Mine had a few little things to be corrected as well. Still isn't a show car but I bought it to drive. After ten years of wrenching on my 70 Malibu Convertible, I wanted something I could just pull into and out of the garage and drive. The headlight fix is pretty easy...

This is a simple job and the article referenced by Stu is helpful. SO, why haven't I done the driver's side too?

    I can't believe this!

John's right. This is exactly what I thought when I read your last post. Except - Did the dealer troubleshoot or did they just do what you told them to?

    First Time Corvette Buyer

Man, have you opened Pandora's Box! Guess I'll get it started. In stock condition, I don't think an 82 can hold a candle to a 92 in terms of performance, handling, fuel efficiency. Looks/styling are a little more subjective. I am a C4 owner and love the styling but sounds like you prefer the C3.

    I can't believe this!

According to C4C5 Specialist at the Cruisefest Tech session - Fuel filters do indeed become waterlogged.

    look at this paint job

A 50 footer? So the bubbles make it a 50 footer? $14K for a 50 footer? So much money and effort for a 50 footer? I think I would storm the body shop like it was Iwo Jima!
