Ive seen completely overhauled e4me carbs for the 81 go from 180-300 dollars. How many miles are on yours and how was it running before you removed it? Anything wrong with it? Barry

Just as I suspected.Thanks guys!GM really screwed up.... don't think I'll be parking on any kind of an incline with window open.... someone could reach in and throw it out of park!Heater problem solved.Connector plug was disconnected at heater control!Must have happened when pulling old stereo...

Hopefully more 80-81 owners will chime in on this!Could anyone else with an 80 or 81 check if they can move their gear shift with keys out and steering locked?I had my console plate off and wonder if I missed something.. Barry

Took my console and guages out.After reassembly I noticed I can take car out of park without key in ignition is this normal or did I screw something up? Also no heater or ac fan on anything but the low position.... fuse is ok Help!! Barry

Newvetter, As far as I know the only way to move it is by power. Barry

Had my seat out last year and noticed wiring had a pretty good pinch in it. Suggest you remove seat and check wires probably one broken or got caught while moving seat and pulled apart. Barry

Got my ac re-charged today.It is not blowing cold enough.Vent temps around 60 degrees at idle.Tech thinks the electric cooling fan should kick in when ac is on max and hi blower.Can someone confirm that?Is the auxiliary fan controlled by temperature, ac or both? Thanks.... Barry
