    best 'lower-cost' intake manifold?

sorry for the confusion, what I meant by "at that point" was you wouldn't need the miniram until you were changing heads & cam. My bad. Arizona Speed & Marine does have some nice stuff, just don't order any custom chips from them. Long story short they aren't really custom ;) I found out the...

    Hardtop For Convertible

Pete, how much of a difference did you notice in the stiffness of the car with the hardtop ? Does it have any squeeks or rattles ? I'm still looking for one for my 94 in Polo Green. Haven't been able to locate one locally here, seem pretty expensive to ship and too easily damaged. I'd really...

    best 'lower-cost' intake manifold?

I don't know how you got confused here but you're correct, the miniram is a one-piece manifold like the LT1 intake. It does not come with a throttle body, you supply your own and you have to buy the fuel rail kit as well. Like I said in order to make good use of that particular intake (I am...

How to Destroy tires in 30 seconds

cool! Atleast it looks like you have a stack of extra tires in the garage there. Keep buying those Dunlops I just bought a few shares :D

    Waking up an LT1

GEAR GEAR GEAR !!!!! Judging from your response I take it you have an automatic. I replaced the stock 2.59 in my 94 auto with 3.54's and saw my ET drop over 5 tenths and picked up over 5mph in the 1/4 mile. So far that was the best mod I have done period. Heads/cam and long tube headers are...

Want gears! What to do, Where to go (be nice) :)

4.10's good choice. Good luck with them. Gear change was the best mod I have done so far on my 94. I think you can order the Viper gearset for the 4.10's. Your spedo will need to be recalibrated with a Hypertech Power Programmer or the PCM will need to be sent out for reprogramming. There is...

    best 'lower-cost' intake manifold?

If you're going to get runners get the base too. The Edelbrock base is less expensive than the TPIS or Accel and is just as good. Pretty sure the Edel. base is still in the $300 range. For large tube runners get the Arizona Speed & Marine's. These are the same exact runners TPIS sells except...

Need to know cooling system capacity(and thermostat Q)

Believe it. The L98's came with a 195° but the LT1 got 180°. You have 2 choices for a new thermostat, the stock 180° or 160°. There's no in-between. Which ever you get make sure it is for an LT1 (reverse flow cooling) otherwise it will not work properly.

    SLP Header Question

Don't waste your time or money. If you don't have emissions testing get long tubes, you'll have to ditch the cats. Shorties are worthless, there is no gain period. Good deal or not you're better off with the stock manifolds IMO.

Debate: Where to mount tranny temp. sensor?

just my .02 here Although I see nothing wrong with what you're planning, I would personally want the sensor as close to the pan as reasonably possible that way you know the temp (or close to it) of the fluid that's in the pan. Going in-line I would make sure it goes in the return line coming...

    Lingenfelter Header question..........

I definetly recommend HPC, great quality and lasts. They are a little less expensive than Jet Hot and have locations in the West, Midwest, East, and South as well I believe. Find the one closest to you.

    Stainless Steel --HELP!!

believe it or not I have found that Mother's aluminum polish (paste in the round can) works pretty well on stainless steel. I use it to polish my exhaust & mufflers regularly. Use a couple coats.

I have now gone over to the Zaino side...

How long or how much convincing did it take for you to decide to go over to the Zaino side ? I'm just curious. I had a friend who tried to get me to switch for about 3 years, I had a Camaro at the time. When I got the Vette I finally decided to give in and try it, I gave away all my Mothers...

    Zaino bros wax system

Denny, I have been using Zaino since I bought my vette. It's great stuff, worth every penny. Stick with it. As you probably figured out by now Z6 is just a detailer for quick cleaning of dust, etc.. Z5 polish is better on darker color cars like our Polo Green, Z2 works best on lighter cars. In...

Ford 24lb SVO injectors are on the way!!! Feedback?????

I had them (SVO's) in my Camaro, worked great. Although not really necessary, the SVO'd don't come with retaining clips. You'll have to re-use your stock ones so be careful taking them off the stock injectors if you want to use the clips.

Started my TPiS Air Box install

I don't know man, I just don't think that air filter is going to work to well with the plastic on it :D j/k Looks alot better than the Breathless box.

O2 Pitfalls Of Aftermarket Exhaust on '94 and '96 Cars

B&B also sells a mandrel bent 3" system for the LT1. As for those horsepower claims, that's quite a lofty number there. I saw no gain in the 1/4mile whatsoever with the addition of the 3" B&B on my 94.

    Ring and Pinion

That may be true but remember you also added a tq converter and gutted cats at the same time. Zip products also sells the 3.54 in the $800 range but you have to send them your core so plan on spending a few bucks more for shipping. Keep in mind it's going to cost you about the same to buy a...
