What I've read is, that the flush/reload with Mobil 1 fixes the problem. But wonder if that is something that must occur on a regular basis. ;shrug;shrug

I'm thinking the author is a Ford or Mopar guy. There has always been haters of Corvette from both of those camps. In reality, compared to Ford GT40s, Ferraris Lambos and the some other Euro supercars, the interiors of C#-C5s (and C6sand C7s to some extent) are cheaply made and looks .... but...

The latest generation Mustangs are a closer comparison than some. The Shelbys and higher end Mustangs are pretty potent and handle well too. Ford -Chevy comparisons have been in the works for as long as I can remember...and that goes back to the early 1960s.

No direct experience with this, but would think that is a reasonable amount. When I had my C4, I bought a new weatherstrip for the rear window and installed it myself, what a PITA.
