I called they're store in Cali today and they said the covers had gone through the sewing process and are now in shipping. She estimated a delivery to around 1 more week.

I was looking at minirams today so I got to thinking if I still end up fighting with this vaccum leak and Im going to have to remove the plenum again I might as well look around for a suitable replacement.
I know a bit about the TPiS but I saw that GM has one, Accel has one, and LP makes one...
Heres some pictures its still a contruction zone in there Ive yet to get to removing and painting black pieces and I gave to do a finish coat on the plenum but you can get an idea at least. I tryed to pic the battery but it came out terrible so I'll get it later when the engine bay looks better...
You could hone it out but it would be purely for carbon removal.
The only mods you can really make with that TB is having it professionally bored out. But the cost really isn't worth it because a guy can just buy 1000 CFM TB's from BBK or Holley.

Sounds like your drive gear/bushings are stripped VERY common since they are made out of nylon....
Ecklers sells a upgraded kit with instruction they're gears are made out of brass.

Very nice unit very good quality.
The new alternator hinged into perfect postion and I now have a complete pulley system.
Valve covers went in without further issue and I just ran an external K&N breather.

Depends on your Insurance company.
Mine (State Farm) won't allow anything "performance altering".
But some companys will insure based off of appraised value and as long as the appraisal is complete and matches the car then there is no problem.

Just got the Valve covers in yesterday now Im looking at the lines Hmm..
No oil cap..Fine I can fill through the PCV.
The PCV location/grommet size is ok.
The question I have is, do I install one of those fancy chrome filter style breathers? Or do I somehow make the current breathing...
I actually thought I bought the smaller ones but I installed them already.
Im going to have to stick a piece of THIN rubber between the wiper cover and the valve cover but they actually fit like a glove. (trick to get in there without breaking anything)

Right now Im currently taking a older GM alternator with internal regulator and making it fit into a newer (my 85) application.

I took a look at our computer system (ShopKey 5)
We can buy nearly every piece on the rack to repair. Usually with cheaper cars you just replace the entire thing with a rebuild but on ours we can replace individual pieces.
