Best bet is to use msd 6AL and msd tach drive dist. this way you have awesome fire and a rev limiter that is adjustable.

thanks ctjackster, i won an intake last night on ebay should have it middle of next week, looks to be in good shape. mine is a 300hp, i'm going to build what looks to be a L76 but either 383ci or 396ci with correct v/covers and intake, have 870 block, just not sure how much crank to stuff into...

garycr14- if I remember right the auto trans has a lower 1st gear ratio so you can get away with less rear gear. try-www.f-body.org/gears/ they have a gear calculator that is simple to use. 3.73 may be better suited for you.

gary, looking to install in the next 2 weeks. do you have a 6speed if so I don't think it will affect fuel mileage at all since now 6th gear would be useable.

I'm glad you are happy with the gear choice, I am purchasing a set of 4:09 gears myself. Do you have any info or parts# for speedometer calibration?

these are original flowmasters, i cut them off and installed stock lt1 mufflers which were way too quiet so I purchased 50 series flowmasters and cut the square lt1 tips off and welded them onto the flows. how far up is bridgewater?

spacegoat- I have a set I took off my 92, that have dual outlets on each muffler I wanted the lt1 style square tips. I'll take 50.00 for them. I'm about 45 mins from del memorial bridge.
