    What Would You Do?

My father went through the same thing. He had a 75 and wanted something more "driveable". He's at the point in his life that crawling around a 75 was getting more and more difficult. So he gave me the 75 and bought himself a 95, which he has since traded in for a 2002 with 3000 miles. Everybody...

    Power streeing pump on 76

Does it look crooked or are the pulleys on a different plane? If the P/S pulley is crooked. Make sure that the pivot bolt is tightened completely.

    Clogged Brake Line?

With that being said, I just left that section in place and ran the new line along side of the old.

    Quick muffler/exhaust tip questions

Here are the more pictures that I promissed awhile ago. The last picture really is a good shot of how the tips look and how the 40's fit. It also shows what kind of road clearance you can get if you have the pipes done custom.

    Clogged Brake Line?

Absolutely!!! I'd bet that they are all the same age and they only last so long no matter how much use they get.

    Looking at 74 Vette

Big difference from an L48. I could see paying 12ish for that. Also, as mentioned earlier, being the last year of no cats is a plus. No worries of "can I get away with removing the cat in my state?" crap. I owned a 75 and got away with not having cats/A.I.R. pump/EGR valve and such. That's only...

    Quick muffler/exhaust tip questions

I went with Flowmaster 40'3 offset in/center out 2.5". I did have them welded at a custom exhaust shop. www.louscustomexhaust.com The mufflers sit level front to back and side to side. I think that they look nice. I'll put up a better picture later...

    cooling system issue question

Good point. Also, glad to hear that everything has turned out relatively well.

    cooling system issue question

Bummer about the valve cover bolt. There are numerous methods to remove them. It all depends on what is left of the bolt. If it sheared flush with the valve cover then you may be able to get away with using vise grips to turn it out. If it sheared flush with the head just have patience with the...

    Color ?

Does anyone know the paint code for dark red metalic or torch red for a 94. I was told that the color on this 75 came from a 94. So I'm guessing which red it is. http://corvetteactioncenter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=81981

    I'll be leaving soon

The guy who bought the car is in MA. He is an Ebay'er so I told him about this site. He was aware of all of the places to look when buying an older Vette but he is by no means a mechanic. I'm sure that he he could use the help.

    I'll be leaving soon

Thanks guys. The upside is that the car went to someone who I think will appreciate the car and not beat on it.

    I'll be leaving soon

Thanks guys. It's been a nice ride while it lasted. I figured that now would be the best time to sell. Beside the other reasons, right now the car is in good shape and running fine. I figured better now before somethingelse breaks.

    Valve Cover Ventilation Question

They used to actually make a small gauge that would sit on the oil fill hole to measure this vacuum.

Time to unload the vette. See ebay listing 4625993050. Sad to see it go. I haven't visited in awhile. I haven't had many troubles lately. I just want to say thanks to the forum for all of the help that I have received and also glad that I could help in return. Just one of those things (mortgage...

    Raise the rear

My 75 sat low when I first got it. It had a 9 leaf spring. I went with a 7 leaf HD spring and replaced the bolts and bushings with the stock length bolts and busshings. It sits just right for me.
