    Re-paint?

I've always wanted to get my hands on a yellow Z, second comes red. Never saw a yellow ZR-1 for sale in Sweden, but I'm presently offered to buy a -92 ZR-1, black with black interior. The car is in good condition and does not need any repaint, but I'm considering redoing it anyway and finally...

A ZR-1 as your first Corvette?

I'm pretty much in Brett's position and have one simple question: anybody know of any available repair manuals for the LT5? (I'm thinking of the Hayne's type, or the like) Peter

    ZR-1 92 hp?

    Talk 'bout backfiring!!! Peter

    ZR-1 92 hp?

Stock as far as I know. Square exhaust pipes

    ZR-1 92 hp?

Yeah, that sounds somewhat like my problem. Not really a serious backfire - rather a 'pop' in the pipes.

    ZR-1 92 hp?

Ok. Would you skip the deal, then? The engine has 47 K.

    ZR-1 92 hp?

Just as I thought. Thank's. And how 'bout the backfiring? Is it normal? Peter

    ZR-1 92 hp?

Hi. I'm just about to buy a -92 ZR-1. The owner claims the LT5 is 405 hp. I'm pretty sure that engine version is from -93. What's correct? When driving it and shifting down from 3:d to 2:nd I heard a distinctive (but not very loud) exhaust bang from the end of the pipes. This happend twice...

    ZR-1 or C5?

Correct. Sorry 'bout the mix up. All input considered I've come to the decision to go for the ZR-1. Thank's a lot to all who contributed with your knowledge and experience. It's been most appreciated! Ajax

    ZR-1 or C5?

Mike, I'm planning on doing a lot of driving, but not on a daily basis. I have a Saab 9-5 for my regular day-to-day driving. Besides that I today own a black Camaro SS 2000, targa top, M6 but I'm now planning on upgrading to a Vette. Use of the new car will be everything from spending time in...

    C5 or ZR-1?

The milage is roughly 50 k on both. The ZR-1 has just been through a major run through at a professional shop. There were no remarks, and the fluid in the a/c was topped up so I guess that's not a problem here in Sweden. The price of the C5 is roughly 4000 $ over the ZR-1. Both are in VERY GOOD...

    ZR-1 or C5?

Well Frank, you don't seem like a wiseguy to me. Nor am I an idiot - I've of course posted the same question over at the C5 board. And to tell you the truth - they don't seem quite so sure of the answer as you people in this place. Now, there might be a clue in that as well?! Ajax

    C5 or ZR-1?

I'm in the imediate choice of buying either a -98 C5 (stock) or a -91 ZR-1. Both M6, in very good condition and with the same milage and price. Which is the best buy considering factors like driveability, roadhandling, performance (acc/speed), durability (engine life etc) and value development...

    ZR-1 or C5?

I'm now in the imediate choice between buying a -91 ZR-1 or a -98 C5 (stock). Both cars got M6 (which I want), same milage (50K), same price (roughly) and both are in very good condition. Which is the better car to buy? I'm primarily thinking of road handling, performance (acc/speed), value...

    Black targa top?

True. It's a -00 SS, M6 with 12 K on the meter. Mint condition, fully equipped. A very good rig for the next owner. Ajax

    Black targa top?

Thank's for the advice. Your reasoning sounds logical enough to me. I'll see what I can find out. And keep your fingers crossed that I'll get my hands on this beauty! It's dependent on me selling my Camaro SS (see pic below). Ajax

    Black targa top?

Yeah it's as it appears on the pic. OK, so it's been replaced. Figured it might have. And this was done before the repaint. So far so good. I can understand that you don't paint it directly once you put the new one on. I can also understand that a paint shop not familiar with the Vette misses it...
