Thank you Sir!!...:beer I've already ordered the brass gear and pellets as well as gaskets from Rodney Dickman. I'll have them put in soon. I've been thinking of selling her, and you can't do that with the headlights not working correctly. I love the car, but my 68 year old bones have trouble...
Hello Folks!!...; I haven't been up here for awhile, I have an 88 35th edition C-4. Last year my headlights would roll up when you turned them on, and down when shut off, but not in unison. This year, the passenger side just gets up there sometimes, but drivers makes it halfway the kind of...
Howdy Folks!!...;
I was over on the AK-47 forum today, and in "General Discussion", they were talking about ZDDP (Zink in oil). They mentioned that ZDDP in motor oil (or lack of) can damage engines with "Flat Valve Tappets". They mentioned that in in 2004 all engines had roller...

I searched for "Cold Start Injector" and drew a Goose egg on results. I have a 1988 Corvette... We replaced the injectors (among other things) for a "hard start when warm" and "rough idle when warm"... actually we replaced FRV, EGR, IAC, ECM and lastly the injectors...
Howdy Folk!!... :w
I had a shop replace my Fuel Regulator Valve, and EGR Valve. Now they can't get it to start. Yes, they disconnected the battery (as per procedure). I recently replaced the battery and had no problems with the VATS system. Anyway... when you insert the key and turn it on...
Thank you Roger...:thanks:Hopefully one of the "Big Dawgs" :BOW of Corvette lore will sing out with the answer that we both need. If changing my Fuel Regulator Valve makes a difference I'll give you a "Hollar!!"...

A side question if I may... ;) I have the opposite problem. I have an "88" Vette, and she starts instantly when cold... But you have to crank for a bit to start her warm. She also idles rough. Idle is around 600 rpm but if you gently raise it to 700 she smooths right out. I know...
Howdy Folks!!... :w If I can get it figured out, I'll insert a photo of my radio. It's not the stockie... but it looks OK. Could one of you kind Souls identify it for me? Thank you kindly. Drive On!!... :SteerFast Freddie:pat
Thank you Hib and KOPET for the reply... :thumb I'm gonna run her up to the local Chev Dealer and pay for an hour or so of their assistance. I'll differ to smarter heads than mine to pinpoint my problem. Having run a Yard Goat (Switch and Road Engines) for 35 years has taken care of my high...
Howdy Folks!!...:w
I'm a newbie to this site, but I've had several C-4's This one is a 1988 35th Ann. Coupe. My problem is that she idles rough, and you have to press on the accelerator while cranking to get her to start. That rings the old "Idle Control Motor" bell, but I can't find a schematic...
Howdy Folks!!...
Just a quick question if I may. In the Jaguar Community They have a program called "JEPC" (Jaguar Electronic Parts Catalog), that you install on your computer. And when you need a specific part, or want to see an illustration of a part. or need a part number or.... R&R a...

I recently sold my L81 to a co-worker. He's in the process of overhauling the engine and ran into this oddity. When he took the heads off and droped them off to be restored...the mechanic in formed him that they were "305" heads...:eek What in the Wide World of Sports ...
Hi Folks !!...
Awhile back....somebody had a thread that described how to stick a wire in some hole to release the seat back so that it would fold forward. I've been having troubles with it. A few jiggles used to free it...now it moves just a little and no more. I'd put in a few smiley's to...
I have an "81"...and did some pictures just before I repainted my valve covers. Lets see if I can rustle them up... I just took a look, and I've got to many to upload here. Do you have a "generic" mailbox I can send them to??
Rough Idle
Hi Fellas!!...
This sounds like mine in reverse. Mine idles real rough when you first start it...then smooths out when as she warms up. I think someone once mentioned that it sounded like I had a vacuum leak. But I've haven't found it yet.
wrong picture....sorry...try this one:confused . Notice behind (to the right) the lower headlight...:D

I believe it's closer to the 1965 Caddy. I can remember those side lights on the "Land Yachts" that those flashy ladies of Southern California drove in back in my young Marine days while stationed at El Toro.
