i wanted to thank you for input.the car did run good after the gasket was installed...the carb did race on start ups .I did have it adjusted...just dont understand why i have this miss out of nowhere..the car is only driven on the weekends so not a lot of miles on the new parts...

the car runs perfect with out a miss when not in drive hot or cold..in fact the car will run perfect in drive without a miss when it is cold.as soon as the motor is at full temp the car will miss or a stumble when i pull off from a dead stop on light excelleration.the car has never died ...

hello,my 1979 always has a slight stumble or miss when in gear at the lower
rpm,s.the higher rpm's the miss is gone and no more stumble.is this a timing issue or a carb adjustment issue...350 motor.auto trans.

i would invest in the biggest compressor that you can afford.You will also need to install a water filter collector before the hose and also install a screw on filter on the gun.The most important investment is the hvlp gun and the filter system.DO NOT PURCHASE A CHEAP GUN...
took my seats out on my 79 to soundproof and insulated the cabin. should have marked theseats left and right side.One seat has square front footings the other seat has round front footings.I just need to know which one is for the drivers side or maybe it does not matter.The assembly manual does...

Thank you for the heads up...i want you to know the bolts are the correct length. I think i am going to try hooking up the neg side of the battery direct
no shut off....maybe i need to move the distrib over one gear tooth..even if the timing is...

the cam is the same,the intake in the same stock unit that was on before,
i reinstalled the lift brackets,and all the bolts are the same stock lenght...
i am going to try to remove the new shut off switch..first if that is not the problem,then i will...
engine now labors to start
so the intake is now installed.the only problem that i have is the engine labors

when replacing the intake manifold gasket the manual calls for the coolant passage holes to be sealed with rtv sealant.i need to know which openings are the water passage,are they the two end...

should i put a thin bead on both sides of the gasket or just the side going on to the heads.i am going to torque all bolts to 30...

i just installed an inline fuel pressure guage,i had the same results.i was told air in the line will cause this.I am not sure if this is the reason.I did bleed the line and the bounce was less but i still do not have a steady needle by the way my guage is not a cheap import...
