I have one on my Black 87 with Graphite interior. Boy do I need it!!! They work pretty well. I get hungry though when I look thru it....reminds me of looking thru my Microwave door!!! .......... Why do they put that on microwave doors anyway!!!!! ;shrug
I have found that SCRATCH OUT by KIT works really well. Also I have found that MOTHERS Carnauba Cleaner/Wax was absolutely A W E S O M E!!!! I have never seen my Black paint look so good. I actually attributed my Trophy wins this year at shows because of the stuff . Also you can almost feel...
Mmmmmm..... You got me wondering now......:duh and I can't think if this happened before I installed it..but I put on one of those quick connect /quick release battery knobs...so when I do engine work or are cleaning my engine area , my battery won't drain.....could this be the culprit....I...
On two seperate occasions My 87 failed to start up. Whats happening is I put the key in ignition, turn and nothing. The dash lights up, everything appears normal...but the engine does not turn over...no clicking or anything...
I give the car a few minutes...try a few more times....then it...
I had Walker Stainless Steel Ultraflows put on a few months back....had a resonance issue at Mid RPM's...so I installed the crossover pipe as well....They sound and Look GGGRRREAT!!! :lou
Hey....someone see my Frosted Flakes????
I too am planning to claybar my Black 87....and I think it is its' first...although my paint is pretty shiny...I expect great results in some problem areas.
Also anyone ...do I break off peices of the claybar to use...or do I use the whole brick and keep kneading and turning it over...
I'm not really into the aggressive rear wings. It's hit or miss....as long as you like it. Some of thosecheap aftermarket body kits really do an injustice to the Corvette.....so make sure you go with a good quality wing......
Includes a 3 year Warranty against any kind of defects, chipping, peeling etc.
Chromes worse enemy is negligence...gotts keep'em clean and polished!!!! I invested in some top quality chrome polish from Griots Garage.
Anyone interested I have a Silver L98 hood decal that I decided not to put on. It is new in box. Has decal, solution, squeegee & instruction. see pic below. also go to www.madvet.com part # 612-651 to see one installed. Asking $15.00 with shipping.
I'm referring to the third brake light atop the rear hatch. There is no light..just plain black painted metal . No third light on rear bumper for an 87.
It is possible the rear hatch was replaced with an 85 or 84.
I am not into heavily chroming up my Vette. There is no chrome on my engine. I too agree...that the Chrome and Black are a nice mix...definately Hi Def, Hi tech...not too gaudy!!! And ...No I am not coming out with a Rap Album....I just had to make a decision....refinish the original wheels...
The set cost $699...but that is with you returning your originals for a core return...Got mine done by Corvette Central. If you want to do 2 at a time you would have to call them. The actual company who did the chroming was BJ's Chrome in Encino, California. They did a great job.
Ok my new wheels are all set...finally received all of my back ordered parts...here are some before & after pics. Now take into account the before pic has better lighting conditions as well as a healthy summer lawn....with that aside...what do you think....Chrome or no Chrome???
Say...thats a pretty cool decal.....I would love to get one....but I can't. See for some reason my 87 never came with a third brake light. All thats there is a plain painted black body panel.....you would never know something was supposed to be there. I still can't figure out what happened...
Before I cough up the nearly $100 for new ones...anyone parting out or have available any rear window hydraulic hatch supports for an 84-96 which should fit my 87. Obviously the newer the better. Also looking for a mint condition center rear deck lid cover...where the rear window closes down...
