Had a great weekend hanging out at the Edmonton Rocky Mountain Nationals, 3 days of race car smells and sounds. It was a little dissapointing from previous years with IHRA dropping Pro Stock, Alcohol funny car etc also wasn't as good of a turn out from Top Fuel or Pro Mods as in previous years...
Well I have put about 500 miles on the Vette since its frame off and felt confident enough to take it for its first road trip, ran flawlwss as an old Chevy should!

Well after a 2.5 year frame off I finally wrapped up phase 1 with a wheel alignment and inspection today.
What a rush to drive it around, seems the more I drive it the better it feels. maybe everthing is just settling in. This is the first time I have driven it more than 4 miles.

It is not an NCRS car but I am trying to keep it correct looking and have a safe reliable cruiser. Most of the work was performed in my home garage with decent assortment of tools.

I grew up in the 60's when you could pick up a 68 Hemi Road Runner or 427/435 Vette and be beating on them at the drag strip on delivery day before the day was out. Kind of partial to Drag racing my self...
