The absolute BEST place to get this stuff is Corvette Rubber Company. If you buy from an aftermarket company, I would make sure they buy from them. Its the only repro stuff that actually fits right, IMO.
With Vettes being priced the way they are right now, why not leave your original, and buy a hot rodded one to play with? With the amount of $$ you plan on spending on your car, you could buy a pretty nice hot rod Vette.
In fact I just saw a '72 hot rod coupe on E-Bay for $7500 buy it now, and...
If you consider water cooled Volkswagens all have them, that itself would say something about reliability. They suggest them being changed every 60K miles.
There is quite a difference in HP between the two, I am not sure how the belt would handle that. I have spun the timing belts on VWs in...
When you say back left side, do you mean the rear passanger side? If yes, there is a threaded hole there for a sensor plug in the head. Its the same type of threaded hole that is in the drivers side front. Check and make sure the plug in there is tight.
LOL....OH......that DOES make a difference! I just bought a set of ralleys with rings, centercaps, and tires for $100. I bought a set of 4 aluminum (no tires) in decent shape for $75, and sold them for $250. It depends on the buyer and the seller. If there is another C3 guy at the auction, he...
It really all depends on what you want. The older C3s are very cool, but you may not want to drive/race them to death because they are much rarer, and getting harder to find. If you go newer, like '74-78 you can get them A LOT cheeper, and there are still many of them out there for sale at very...
Ecklers gets about $900 for the set, I beleive they are repros.
I have a matched set of five originals with good tires, I am curious about price as well.
Hello there, that center "piece" is a switch to stop the wipers once they are out in the open on the windshield.

These are the links to Ecklers, although all the...
LOL....oh boy..could I go places answering this one!! It is by far the best question of the thread. The answer I believe lies within the mind of the thread originator, not necessarity in the car itself.
:boogie
NGK does make a nice plug I used to use those and Bosch in Mercedes quite a bit.
For the Vettes, I stick with Champion or Autolite. We have a 383 Stroker with MSD, and it requires a copper core plug. I suppose i could go Platinum with the other, but I don't.
Well...I might not say all day.....the only way I know how is to start from the dash and work your way back. I always take out the seats as well, it makes the job quite a bit easier IMO.
I just checked mine, the front pipe runs all the way to the frame pass through, the rear pipe comes forward of the pass through about 2 1/2 inches. The front pipe fits into the rear pipe. My exhaust is not the stock one, but it is the stainless replacement exhaust for the car, and is supposed to...
The 1970 AIM gives a pretty good example of the exhaust, no dimensions though. It looks like they extend to the frame pass through just behind the engine. I can look under mine in the morning and let you know. Not sure how I'm going to get you a measurement though.
