I had read an article a few years ago about this in Hemmings Motor News. Irish Spring bar soap, cut into pieces and put in a car will git rid of the mice. Seems the mice don't like the deoderant smell and will leave. I've tried it and it works and is cheap. I have a few cars in my building and...
ZL1 Performance reports?
6 Shooter, what was the posted performance reports on that 580 HP? Be interesting to know how it compares to the new base Corvette.
Heavy Metal?
My thoughts on that are, Chevy won't produce a Camaro that will out run the Vette. I know I will get some rebutal on this. But a few years ago, the Chevy kinked the exhaust on the Camaro to keep it from outrunning the Vette. After all, why spend 60k on a car when a 30k car...
New Camaro
Considering most of the new Camaros are V6's that ZL1 would be a wolf in sheeps clothing! I love it, but probably will never own one.
You know after driving the early camaros and then the 2nd gen, I too seem to like the 2nd better as far as ride and handling. But the 69 has the best...
Thats a wolf is a sheeps clothing for sure! Corvette is disgise!I prefer the brute strength of the bbc myself. My is just a 325 horse now, but I will wake it up!
New trim rings and center caps have since been installed. I'm looking at replacing the rear spoiler with the short version also. I will post more pictures soon. I just have too many projects!
Just looking at the Top ten Muscle Cars, some awesome pictures and cars.I would post some now on this thread if I knew how. I'll try .Now remember, the 69 is a new project, lots of parts in boxes waiting to get put on.The 70 is a driver, but still work in progress.Ok, the 69 on the trailer is...
No, I traded the Vette for a 70 Z/28. Its a non matching number car, buts thats ok. I already have put a new engine in it, 400 small block with LT1 heads. Its a beast for sure. I miss the Vette sometimes, but not the fustration of working on it. The Z is a pretty nice car and holds a good value...
Thats why I took the exhaust loose, thinking it could be stopped up. I took it loose before the cats.It will start up and run alittle but acts like its smothering.
I have replaced all the injectors and the intake gaskets and MAP sensor. The car acts like its starving for air. I have even taking the exhaust loose because there is not much exhaust coming out. It runs just like it did before any work was done on it. It don't show any codes.I do have the...
If its like most, you need to take the driveshaft loose at the rear end and remove the yoke. An impact wrench works best there. When the yoke is removed, the seal is right there. You will need to retorqe the yoke when reassembling.
Just looking at the FIC site. They have stock bocsh 3 injectors for $169.99 and some they call Blue Pearl for $229. Just wondering if the extra $60 would be worth it?
I think everyone that owns a Vette does it. I'm quilty too. I did it within the first hour of ownership of my car coming from Atlanta. It seems like when people tailgate you in a Corvette, they are closer than they appear. So why not put some distance between you! If you got it, use it!:beer
Anyone have a link to FIC? I think I'm going with the 22lb injectors. I saw some GM injectors on ebay for $225 and Standard brand for $185.These are both brand new parts.
I'm planning on doing all the labor myself. I have a shop and plenty of tools. I'm more of an old school guy, but if I take it apart, I can put it back together. After all, if I can build and rear end for a top fuel dragster, how hard can it be?
The only thing I need to sort out is who to buy...
This exactly what I was looking for. All the comments from other Corvette owners have convenced me to keep the car. I will be doing some needed maintance on it before I start driving it again. Like the intake manifold is leaking oil out or the back side towards the dist. and valve cover gaskets...
