Site Update: Corvette Action Center Celebrates 15 Years

Congrats Rob! As someone who knew you "before you were famous", I remember the intense focus and determination you brought to the search for your Corvette. It's good to see how that has paid off with this site as well.

    Project Rear End 2007

Well it's time to kick off "Project Rear End 2007"! My poor '65 has been suffering from rotting trailing arm bushings for the past year or two and I have been waiting for the right time to take the plunge. It's big $$$ and of course there is the "might as well" factor which expands every...

    Last 67

Well, the seller of the car is Terry Michaelis, who owns ProTeam Corvette. He's a car salesman. So I'm not sure why you're so shocked that it was all about selling the car. The reality is that rare cars are just getting more rare, and as a result they will sell for more and more money. This...

Correct radiator hoses for '65 SB

I just ordered a replacement radiator from Dewitts for my '65 327/300. Just wondering if they hoses they sell on their site are the correct repro hoses. Anyone know? Here they are: Upper: http://www.dewitts.com/pages/productdetail.asp?ProdID=43 Lower...

    New guy here

Welcome to the board. Too bad you and Barry are on the wrong coast, otherwise we could have a maroon '65 gathering.

That's a clean looking car and a very desirable combination of options.

One of a Kind. No, Really.

That is a great story. I seem to recall something about it coming up in the NCRS mag, the Corvette Restorer, a while back.

    2006 Black ZO6 For Sale!!!

No problem Elaine. I made my comment knowing you were with Corvette Mike and that this is part of your inventory. Whether it's a dealer car or not you should be able to ask whatever you want without getting abused on your own thread. :)

    2007 Z06 allocation information

That is how Lexus does it. Not surprisingly, their dealerships have the best service as a result.

    2006 Black ZO6 For Sale!!!

If someone has a problem with a price, how about communicating that by PM rather than polluting her ad. This is a capitalist country and she has a right to ask whatever she wants for the car.

    Fair value of C2s?

I think you guys are on the right track. Do a lot of research and purchase carefully. Keep in mind these cars have been around for 40 years, give or take. A lot of damage (and I mean A LOT) can be done in that time by careless owners and hack mechanics who think they know what they are doing...

    Fair value of C2s?

You would have been right 10 years ago, but Barry is a lot closer to what it's worth today.

    Fair value of C2s?

As others have said, there are so many variables it's hard to come up with a simple price guide. Spend a few months studying Hemmings, Ebay, and any other classified site you can find on the web. At the end of that time you'll have a pretty good idea what to pay.

    67 427-435 tripower on e-bay question

Hey Barry, I can't argue with that at all, even though I'm a convertible owner. The convertible is a beautiful car but the coupe brings so much additional interest and complexity to the design that it's at another level entirely.

    67 427-435 tripower on e-bay question

Wow...I am usually not a coupe guy but that car just made me one. The coupe has so many interesting shapes and lines and the black paint really helps them come out. Oh...and I guess it doesn't hurt that the car basically looks PERFECT.

Time to replace calipers on '65, need advice

Thank you for the recommendations! That said, can anyone explain the difference between an O-ring caliper and an insulated O-ring caliper? Or what is 2nd design vs. 1st design? And no jokes about 1st design being one better please! ;-)

    Here's one on ebay...

Just to set the record straight...I was there and I'm not sure I would say he was patient but he was certainly determined to get the "right" ZR-1!! :D
