I've had pretty good experiences with Tire Rack also. Fortunately I live within a couple hours drive of South Bend, so I just drive straight there and save on the S/H. They mounted and balanced the tires right there for something like 10 bucks a pop, and were very easy people to deal with...
To the best of my knowledge, the speed rating is a measure of how fast one can safely drive on a particular tire. Check out

It's amazing how many unscrupulous car dealers there are out there. Some of you may recall my experience a month ago when I became 'Vette-less.

Since I've begun my search again for another Corvette, I've definitely been...
I've owned both an L98 and an LT1. The L98 was great off the line, but ran out of breath early, while the LT1 keeps on pulling. Both are great engines, but I prefer the LT1.

You might want to get with Rick Daniel here on the site. Not sure exactly what kind of deals he has available on AEs at the moment, but he may be able to work something out with you.

I don't really have any expertise with the swap itself, but I will go on record as saying I don't think it sounds like a far fethced idea. I've read some articles in various magazines where people put LT1s in C1s and C2s. Hey, it's all about making the car you like. As long as it gets done the...
Thanks for the insight Bob. Unfortunately at the moment it is a moot point because I no longer have the car...

Should I be in the situation again though, I'll keep your comments in mind :)

Hi all.
I remember reading some articles a few years ago about an intake manifold for the LT1 from Edelbrock. Was that product ever released, and if so, does anybody have any experience with it? Just curious. Thanks!

Okie,
I lubricate my weatherstrip with GM dielectric silicone grease (Part Number 12345579). It keeps it looking decent, and helps tremendously to cut down on the annoying squeaks that the removable roof has been notorious for. I don't know how it would do for already cracking rubber, but it...
In a May 1994 issue, Motor Trend tested an automatic LT1, Z07 equipped Vette versus some other automatic equipped sports cars (Supra Turbo, RX7,etc.) They squeezed 156 MPH out of it.

Any C4 white interior owners out there?
Any other opinions here? While I'm sure that white will be more work to maintain, black isn't always what it's cracked up to be either. Yes it will hide stains easier, but it can be a chore to keep looking really clean. Dust or small light colored pieces...
Hi all.
I am wondering about the most efficient way to change color of the interior in my 96 coupe to a "model year unavailable" color. I really like the arctic white that was available in 92-93, but alas it was not available in 96. I currently have a black interior. Any suggestions as to how...
IIRC the Stingray III was a design prototype back in 1992. It was being used as a study for the C5 way back when. I for one though wouldn't mind seeing it brought back out as possible inspiration for the C6. It sure looks better than the Nissan Z looking "special exclusive pictures" the auto...
Welcome aboard :w I personally just bought a black on black 96 LT1 on Labor Day, and I love it :D. The asking price you mentioned doesn't sound too bad if the car is in excellent shape. Enjoy!
