No, this all started after I had the carb installed so I have been trouble shooting it via the edelbrock web site. Tomorrow I am going to check the float level (7/16"), fuel pressure (< 7) and needle/seat for proper functionality. I'll let you all know how it turns out. Thank you all for chiming...

Does the engine need to be running normally to be able to check the pressure? With the way it's going it really doesn't run smooth at all. I appreciate the help. I'll try the float first and hope that fixes it.

Thanks bill81vette.... I did just buy an oil pan at a swap meet to clean up, paint and then replace the current. Since I can do both without pulling the engine that sounds like it should be moved up the to-do list.

Hi All, I'm wondering if it is possible to replace the timing cover gasket without pulling the engine. I have a little oil leak coming from the right front of the engine...I'm hoping timing change cover gasket. Any other ideas? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Dale
