I'll try to explain....without getting too technical. The left side "switch" is a vacuum valve. Pull down on the switch...and the headlights will open (if the engine is running), but not turn on. This is used to over-ride the headlight switch....or to open the headlights without turning them...

The window crank does just snap on....but there is a retainer that must be removed before the window handle can be removed. Any parts store will have the tool....it slides behind the window crank and pushed the clip out, allowing the handle to be removed. To re-install, just push the clip back...

I was able to put 255/60R15 on my '72 with no problems... Just returned from a 2,773 mile trip (Hot Rod Power Tour) over some VERY rough roads.....no clearance problems at all....

I also have the P255/60/15's on my '72. No problems.

These are 255/60-15 on my '72....and they don't rub...

Add to that....the 255/60R15 have a lower, wider look.....
