The A.C. compressor on my C3 has gone bad and a new one is about to be installed. My question is; if I run the belt on the old compressor with the clutch switch off or disconnected, will the junk from the old compressor continue to dirty-up the rest of the system. I need to drive to the shop for...
Listen guys I was not trying to overload the internet with my question. I did not know where exactly to post it. When you cannot open the driver side door and you are looking at destroying a $419.00 plus tax door panel it gets kind of frustrating. I have helped people on this site and I have...
I am sorry that I overlaoded the system

Well guys I finally got the door opened and believe me it was a pain in the tussa.
I had to order a new latch and a flapper door thingy. The little spring on the flapper door handle is broken and I have to order the whole damm assembly. Why oh why I ask myself.
This was not what keep the door...
That is right. The linkage that is in the final chain will not release the lever that opens that hook that goes around the stud. I looked on the passenger side to see how it operates. I cannot get the inside panel off to get to it manually.
1977 Corvette: The driver side door will not open. I could not get the door panel all of the way off, so I have been trying to unlock it down the window slot. It seems the last lever that finally releases the hook lock will not release it. I am writing about the jaws that go around the stud that...

Starter Spring
If you use the GM Starter be sure to use the replacement solenoid spring. The one that comes with the starter is not tempered enough and when it gets hot it will not fully engage. You will hear a clicking sound instead.
Has anyone had there exhaust manifolds Jet-Hot coated?
I am mainly interested in stock cast exhaust manifolds not headers. I would like to know if the coating really does drop the under the hood temperture.
That is a Edlebrock electric connection. You get it when you order the electric choke conversion for the Quardra-Jet. You may try Summit or Edelbrock for the female side.
The space or gap between the front leading edge of the door (right side) and the back of the fender is not even. The top space is wider than the bottom. The rear of the door and the rear fender is perfect. Is there away to fix this without tearing the fendaer off?
I don't know if it will work, but sometimes if you turn the screw in the tighting direction, (clockwise) it will break the seal and you can then remove it. We use this method on Air Force aircraft. If it does not work, keep the doors down and the gas pedal up.
Bob is right, I just replaced the coil I was using with the MSD 8525 coil which is a higher output (50,000 volt) coil. It still goes under the cap. No Module at all. This reminds me, that I also used the MSD HEI cap. It comes with a standard bushing and a bronze bushing. The tech at Summit told...
I installed the 6A MSD box and with this box, you remove the stock or any other module you might be using. The tach plugs into the box and there was a improvment over the Accell coil and modual I was using. I mounted the box on the far. far side of the brake-booster. (1977) When I called Summit...
Well I did not get any in-put from anyone, so I purchased the MSD 8525 HEI coil and dropped it in. Much, much better than the stock coil. Start-up is quicker and the motor seems to have smooth-out through the whole rpm range.
