Thanks, those are some useful data points. What are the air temperatures in Guadalajara where you are seeing those coolant temperatures?
Dick
Low 60s in the winter and low 100s in summer. I posted the 210° temp because it's the highest temp I have seen in worst heat-traffic conditions in a year since my mods but it's not very common! (185°-195° are the usuals inside town)
Before this changes I was always scared, watching the temps all the time because I blew one radiator in my 91 L98 and two hoses in the LT1 !!!
There's not many highways inside the City and since my first vette, they have been my every day cars. The first time I drove the L98 I thought something was very wrong with it when I saw the 235°. Whit those temps if something goes wrong when you're in heavy traffic like heppened to my twice you can kiss good bye many things under the hood!
Like I said before it's just my own facts, but most people I know (my brother owns another two vettes) by the first time they drive a vette, they think something it's wrong with it for the hi temps they see, not knowing that they are that way from the factory for emissions matter!
warren s,
Thanks and I've been following your great ideas about your site to easy mods to help the vette owners to improve their cars and save some $$$. Keep up the nice work!!!
