Help! 1960 Convertible top help

I have looked everywhere to find out exactly where the felt is positioned on to the gas tank cover to protect the soft top window. I've had no luck otfl. Does anyone have a picture or information on the correct placement of this felt? I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks :eyerole

Yup - see photo below of an original '57 protector.
