Question: 1967 Door Pull Straps, will they fit on a 1972?

The 1967 interior door pull straps are chrome, and "look" like they might fit a later model C3 which had the wrapped vinyl straps. I have a 1972 and was wondering if anyone knew if they would fit properly. The car is completely custom and I'm not looking for matching anything other than where the mounting holes line up. Thanks
