1970 vacum hoses

I'm about to change all my vacum hoses for wiper door, washer fluid. headlights etc. Trouble shooting the system i found numerous hoses with holes in them, one coming off the intake manifold is actually burnt. I was wondering if anybody out there has any ideas. The engine is a pretty correct lt1, iwill definately keep the old hoses but i am wondering if there is some type of braided hose i can use. and maybe replace if i decide to sell the car replace them to oem parts.

Get the correct hose kit from Doc Rebuild - his is the only one that fits. If you replace all of them with braided hose, it'll look like stainless steel spaghetti.

Eckler's and Mid-America (and any other vendor except Doc Rebuild) doesn't have "correct" hoses - they aren't even the right wall thickness. Go with the Doc's kit and installation will be a breeze, and you won't break any nipples off the plastic vacuum relays.

You can always send them back! These guys have already been through it, so I'd take their advice and go with Doc's rebuild kits. No sense risking damage to the nipples ) ) or having to do the same job twice!

Don't open them send them back. The time and effort that you will expend is worth much more than the price of shipping. Why do all that work only to have the wrong hoses that will not look or work as well as the originals.

Get them from Dr. Rebuild and do it right the first time.
